LAND REGISTRY AND REVENUE OFFICE READINESS


During NECS implementation, the State and Territory land registries and revenue offices will ready themselves for the new electronic system.

Specifically, each will develop and implement readiness programs tailored to their jurisdiction. These programs will cover areas such as legislative change, systems development and integration, business practice prescription and adoption and general initiative awareness.  They will be developed in close consultation with key local stakeholder groups such as law societies, conveyancer institute divisions, information broker associations and banking associations.

The land registries and revenue offices will be assisted by NECS through adequate lead-time and the provision of a web services testing and accreditation facility.
