National, State and Territory conveyancer institutes

These organisations represent conveyancers who are not legal practitioners but are allowed in some jurisdictions to undertake conveyancing work.  They are also key stakeholders in electronic conveyancing.

Conveyancers are currently licensed to practice in NSW, SA, WA, NT and Tasmania, can practice without being licensed in Victoria, but are prohibited from practicing in Queensland.  A review of conveyancer licensing is currently being conducted in Victoria.

Electronic Financial Settlement Service Providers

  • Reserve Bank of Australia provides the systems and facilities for settlement of financial transactions between banks

  • Payment Systems Board, Reserve Bank of Australia regulates payments systems with regard to controlling risk, assuring efficiency and promoting competition
