The National Project Team (NPT) was endorsed by the NSC at its meeting on 18 April 2008 as a working group of the NSC. Its members are drawn from industry and government stakeholders with its role being to make recommendations to the NSC on business requirements, supporting arrangements and implementation issues for NECS. It complements the State Project Teams (SPT) already working in each jurisdiction to ensure a consistent approach to Land Registry requirements. Drawing on both industry and government expertise ensures the NPT is representative of all stakeholders and the requirements of all stakeholders are integrated into a successful facility that becomes a permanent and valued part of the national infrastructure for conveyancing.
The NPT is an important development for all participants in the conveyancing process. Its members are advocates of participants in ensuring NECS delivers what is needed to work faster and with greater certainty. Each member of the Team will be relying on input from participants in their industry sector and will be making arrangements to regularly collect views and issues.
