The NECS National Steering Committee (NSC) is the peak body formed by key government and industry stakeholders to progress the development of a national electronic conveyancing system for Australia.

What we do
Established in November 2005, the National Steering Committee (NSC) is responsible for developing and implementing a roadmap for NECS with the support of the National Electronic Conveyancing Office, the National Project Team and State Project Teams.
The NECS Roadmap consists of the following draft documents: • NECS National Business Model • NECS National Governance Arrangements • NECS National Implementation Strategy • NECS Operations Description • NECS Requirement Definition.

Who we are
The National Steering Committee features representatives from every State and Territory jurisdiction, the Federal government, revenue commissioners, lawyers, conveyancers, banks, information brokers and law stationers.

The National Steering Committee is chaired by former Commonwealth Bank Group, Chief Solicitor and General Counsel, Les Taylor.
