PRACTITIONER PERSPECTIVE

Some legal and conveyancing practices will use web services to integrate their in-house case management systems with NECS to achieve seamless system-to-system interactions. Significantly, this will enable these practices to continue to collect transaction information and complete all aspects of settlement and lodgment, within their existing in-house systems.

Other practitioners will access exactly the same facilities through an Internet portal using a web browser, such as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Mozilla’s Firefox, Apple’s Safari or Google’s Chrome. This method of accessing NECS will also provide large practices with a back-up to their system-to-system access.

Practitioners of all sizes will be able to access NECS through the specialist services of Licensed Service Providers (LSP). Using web services to communicate with NECS, LSPs will offer both tailor-made web services and Internet portals to meet the particular needs and preferences of their customers.
