SERVICE PROVIDER READINESS
During NECS implementation, key service providers to legal and conveyancing practices and financial institutions will ready themselves for the new electronic system.
• Software Companies
• Licensed Service Providers
Software companies
Companies that supply proprietary case management and loan documentation software systems to legal and conveyancing practices and financial institutions will enhance their products to integrate NECS and make it accessible via web services. In addition, they will ensure their products are compatible with the National Electronic Conveyancing Data Standards (NECDS) being developed in conjunction with LIXI Ltd.
Systems modifications, testing and commissioning will be assisted by NECS through adequate lead-time and the provision of a web services testing and accreditation facility.
Licensed Service Providers
Licensed Service Providers (LSPs) will enhance their existing services and develop and offer new services that provide access to NECS via either web services or Internet portals. LSP’s will tailor these services to their customers’ needs and preferences.
Organisations wanting to become an LSP must apply for accreditation. Once licensed, they will be assisted by NECS through adequate lead-time and the provision of a web services testing and accreditation facility.
In readiness for NECS, LSPs also will be required to develop and implement accredited customer training and support services.
